When sharing a link to a record in McFile, you can now choose from different permission options to precisely control the type of access to the documents present.

  • View only:  This option allows recipients to view the record’s basic details and shared files while blocking downloads and printing.
  • View and download:  The default setting for link sharing, which lets recipients download the shared files.
  • View, download, and upload:  In addition to viewing and downloading, this option allows users to upload new files to the shared folder. It’s perfect for team collaboration—imagine a colleague needing to add the final version of a presentation or an important report. They can upload the file directly, ensuring everyone has real-time access with full security. This is collaboration made easy!
Advanced Sharing Control

You can set shared links to expire after a specific time or keep them active indefinitely. You can also choose to restrict access to McFile users only or allow anyone with the link to view it. For added security, you can even set a password to protect the content.

QR Code Generation for Quick Sharing
