Using the multilingual search

When you access the McFile search screen, you will find a new filter available. By clicking on it, options are displayed to search in all available languages or select the desired languages. With the multilingual search enabled, McFile translates the searched word or term into all the selected languages.

Now, imagine your search is about “bidding contract”. In Portuguese, this term can be translated as “contrato de licitação”, while in Spanish it is “contrato de licitación”. With the new feature, when searching for “bidding contract”, the tool automatically translates the term and returns results in all those languages, allowing you to access an even broader range of documents without missing any relevant information!

This innovation makes document management even more fluid and connected, allowing you to quickly access the information you need, regardless of the language.

Configuring links

When sharing a link to a record in McFile, you can now choose from different permission options to precisely control the type of access to the documents present.

• View only:  This option allows recipients to view the record’s basic details and shared files while blocking downloads and printing.
• View and download:  The default setting for link sharing, which lets recipients download the shared files.
• View, download, and upload:  In addition to viewing and downloading, this option allows users to upload new files to the shared folder. It’s perfect for team collaboration—imagine a colleague needing to add the final version of a presentation or an important report. They can upload the file directly, ensuring everyone has real-time access with full security. This is collaboration made easy!

Advanced Sharing Control

You can set shared links to expire after a specific time or keep them active indefinitely. You can also choose to restrict access to McFile users only or allow anyone with the link to view it. For added security, you can even set a password to protect the content.

QR Code Generation for Quick Sharing

McFile also lets you generate a QR Code for any shared link! The QR Code respects the same permissions you set during configuration and can be easily downloaded and shared. This is a perfect solution for sharing access in meetings or events—just scan the code, and you’re in!
